I was totaly sucked in... then I saw that it diddnt have anything about a big race at the end.
Please rewrite it so he wins the race, and doesn't gas himself, so Im not sad.
This is a really clever ending, really smart misdirection that prevented me from seeing the resolution of the story coming, and the drama wrapped up very efficiently. Enjoyed this story very much.
